Assaults on judicial figures are becoming more serious. In the past fortnight, judges at the Medan District Court have been targeted in a series of public attacks. Earlier this month, dozens of people seated in a courtroom chased the Medan District Court council of judges, chaired by Rosmanidar Hutagalung. The attack was in response to a verdict, sparing defendant Setilya Lase from jail.
