A Record Fine for Sago Prima

THE South Jakarta District Court ruled in favor of the environment and forestry ministry in its lawsuit against National Sago Prima over fires on the company's 3,000 hectares land. The Sampoerna Agro subsidiary is required to pay Rp1.072 trillion, comprising in damage fines plus land rehabilitation costs. This is the largest case the government has ever won.
