ATTORNEY Saut Edward Rajagukguk and his client, deathrow inmate Zulfiqar Ali, are struggling to find a way out of the dilemma they face. "We've prepared a plea to the attorney general to review the case," Saut said last Tuesday.

Prior to that, Saut and Zulfiqar's family locked horns over whether or not to file a clemency plea with the President. Filing a plea would mean confessing to the crime, despite the Pakistani's assertion that he was not part of an international drug syndicate, as has been alleged by law enforcement authorities.
