Pierre Cardin had sued Alexander Satryo Wibowo, an entrepreneur from Jakarta, for using its brand without approval. However, the Central Jakarta Commercial Court and the Supreme Court ruled against him. In its decision, the Supreme Court confirmed Pierre Cardin's patents legally belonged to Alexander.
