It seems that filing lawsuits against slander is becoming popular amongst former government officials. And those on the receiving end are no small fry. On Monday, June 18, the former secretary-general of the Department of Forestry & Plantations, Suripto, filed a lawsuit with the Central Jakarta District Court against President Abdurrahman Wahid, on charges of slander.
