Director-General of Customs Heru Pambudi: No Country is Immune to Smuggling

The discovery of the export of hundreds of thousands of pieces of personal protective equipment (PPE) to South Korea and China on March 21 has sparked controversy.
DESPITE holding those items at Sukarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten, and at Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta, officers from the directorate-general of Customs finally allowed the export of that PPE produced by five companies located in Bogor, West Java.
