It is a rare occurrence for a police officer to be dragged before the court to account for a crime he allegedly committed in self defense. The trial of Adj. Police Commissioner, Mikael Bambang Sudiarto, 49, attached to the Police Academy in Semarang, began last Monday. He has been accused of shooting to death a civilian and causing physical harm to another person.
