SITI Soimah wailed when the ambulance carrying the body of her eldest son, 17-year-old Albar Mahdi, arrived on Tuesday, August 23. The resident of Sei Selayur, Kalidoni Subdistrict, Palembang, South Sumatra, asked officers to open the casket. She wanted to examine Albar’s body, which had traveled by land from Pondok Modern Darussalam Gontor, an Islamic boarding school in Ponorogo, East Java.
