OVER the last few months, Rudy Salim Gunawan, the owner of the luxury cars showroom Prestige Image Motorcars, has been going back and forth to the customs office of Soekarno-Hatta Airport in Tangerang, Banten. The customs office is detaining nine Prestige luxury cars imported through the ATA Carnet mechanism in 2019. The customs office is charging a late fine of Rp8.8 billion to the car exporter, Malaysia-based Speedline Industries Sdn Bhd.
