A transmigration area in South Kalimantan is transformed into a coal mine. Residents do not receive compensation.
A CROWD of people approached an uninhabited swampland in Bekambit village in Kotabaru Regency, South Kalimantan. Some were former transmigrants, claiming they own the land since 1989. Yet, in 2010, the area had allegedly been incorporated into a concession plot for Sebuku Sejaka Coal mining company.
