Recently Government Regulation No. 10 of 1983 on Marriage and Divorce for Civil Servants (PP No. 10) has come under scrutiny. The regulation has been regarded as upholding cultural hypocrisy and constituting a repressive tool of the government.

For 17 years, no one has had the courage to challenge the Government Regulation on Marriage and Divorce for Civil Servants.
