TO some judges and prosecutors, sending a defendant to jail may not be enough. Beating and kicking should be extra punishment for the condemned man. That's what happened two weeks ago at the Metro District Court in Lampung in southern Sumatra, when Presiding Judge Achmad Lakoni sentenced Fahrul Kurniawan, 29, to four years imprisonment for assault.
