INDONESIAN Military Commander in Chief, General Endriartono Sutarto, seemed pale after leaving a cabinet meeting on Thursday, November 7. His customary grin wiped from his face, Sutarto responded indifferently to journalists who showered him with questions about the cabinet meeting discussions.

However, Sutarto's guise of indifference dropped when approached by a correspondent from The Washington Post as he was getting into his car.
