Police are terminating their investigations into allegations of bribery in the Manulife case, ostensibly for lack of evidence. Some observers are not happy with the decision.

The brouhaha over the Manulife bribery case is likely to fizzle out. Last week, Snr. Comr. Didi Rochyadi, the chief spokesman at police headquarters, said that investigation into allegations of bribery involving three judges in the dispute over dividend payments between PT Asuransi Jiwa Manulife and PT Dharmala Sakti Sejahtera would be terminated for lack of evidence.
