Over the past few weeks, the members of the West Sumatra Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) have been under a lot of stress. They have shown no reluctance to even "summons" the governor to an Annual Local Budget Ratification Meeting in January. "I remind the executive not to even try to include Government Regulation 110/2000 in the consideration of the 2003 Local Revenue and Expenditure Budget," stressed Arwan Kasri, the DPRD speaker.
