IN September 2002, PT Jasa Raharja employee, Rukin Edi Santosa, was visited by a Karanganyar District Military Command officer at his desk in the Karanganyar Motor Vehicle Registry Office in Central Java. Clearly upset, the military officer showed Edi Santosa a letter from PT Jasa Raharja. The letter stated: "Our condolences. Thank you for your payments of Jasa Raharja insurance."
