REGIONAL autonomy fever is spreading throughout the archipelago. Last week, mayors and regents representing various regions throughout Indonesia united to express mutual opposition against two government regulations, which they claim conflict with the spirit of regional autonomy. Under the banner of the Balikpapan Declaration Forum, the consortium of regional officials demanded the Supreme Court to review these two government regulations.
