LAST Monday, the Central Jakarta District Court was struck by a heat wave. Attorneys, judges, prosecutors and courtroom attendees were all affected by the weather. Many were slumped in their chairs, others resting head in arms. However, cheers erupted through the courtroom from supporters of defendant David Tjioe after prosecutor Ramdhanu Dwiyantoro cleared Tjioe of assault charges against TEMPO magazine journalists.
