EARLIER this year, listeners of Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) in Purwokerto, Central Java, were treated to greater clarity in radio broadcasting. RRI Purwokerto recently acquired a new state-of-the-art station transmission link, designed to broadcast radio waves with greater clarity.
However, allegations have since emerged that RRI drastically marked up the radio broadcasting equipment from its market value of Rp68 million to its final purchase
