ON September 19, 1984, Tanjung Priok erupted into commotion as military officers opened fire on a crowd of demonstrators, killing 23 civilians and wounding hundreds of others. This coming Monday, trial is due to start over the Tanjung Priok case at the National Human Rights Court.
