My Beautiful Lake Maninjau

Lake Maninjau in West Sumatra used to be very beautiful. The water was so clear we could see the bottom of the lake 3 meters down. And the panorama was simply astounding. If seen from the top of Embun Pagi, the water looked so blue.

As a local boy who grew up there, I was sad and angry when I heard the lake is now so polluted that the water has decreased and the fish are gone.
