SBY and Ramos Horta
The appointment of Jose Ramos Horta as Timor Leste Prime Minister last Monday, bears a positive effect on the relationship of Indonesia and Timor Leste. It concerns the relationship that has been established by Horta and Indonesia so far, especially with President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono. Horta is different from Alkatiri who is a left-winger and accused Indonesia of being part of the recent political tension in Timor Leste.
