I would like to respond to Rudy Suswanto's letter in TEMPO (February 19 edition), asking whether the blood distributed by the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) originating from donors who consumed pork, dog meat or other forbidden foods, was allowed by Islam.
If we follow the opinion of the Indonesian Council of Ulemas (MUI), blood from such donors is clearly forbidden.
To prevent further confusion, I would like to propose an idea to PMI to separate
