Missing check

I sent a letter enclosing a check for Rp2 million from Saudi Arabia to my family in Jakarta, on October 29, 2000. But, to date, my family has not received the letter. After inquiring at the post office in Saudi Arabia, I established the letter had already been sent to Indonesia. So, where did it go?
