Jugun ianfu is a term used for the Indonesian female forced laborers that were forced to fulfill the sexual needs of Japanese soldiers during the Japanese occupation. There is no doubt that the Japanese soldiers suffered from the effects of war. They spent a lot of their time fighting in the jungles, away from their wives, and death could come at any time.
