I think the publication of the wealth of the state officials is a right thing to do. This will allow us to assess the effectiveness and honesty of our state officials, and if they suddenly become rich shortly after taking office, we can suspect that something must be afoot.
From an official’s wealth, we can see the effectiveness of his/her work as well as his/her honesty. Most importantly, the auditor must be honest and totally independent.
