Rejecting the Cooperatives Bill

Our points of objection:
- The abolition of the Indonesian Cooperatives Council (Dekopin) as a sole body (article 130), because it constitutes a violation of citizens’ rights to freedom of association and freedom of assembly as guaranteed by the 1945 Constitution. We also reject the obligation to pay contributions to Dekopin (article 82) and the use of funds from the State Budget as well as the Regional Budget for Dekopin.
