ULEMAS and ustad (religious teachers) should intensify their discourses on the environment. Friday sermons, religious lessons at dawn or during office breaks can be a forum to discuss environmental fiqh (Islamic law) obligating humans to take greater care of their environments in the effort to save the earth. In this way, the ongoing campaigns for environmental awareness will be more effective.
