The National Power Company (PLN) should have introduced the new electricity rate on July 15 or 16, 2001. Why? Because PLN calculates the monthly customers’ electricity use starting from June 15. The electricity bill for June 2001 (payable from July 1, 2001) is calculated from May 15-June 15, 2001, while the bill for July 2001 (payable from August 1, 2001) will be calculated from June 15-July 15, 2001.
