I would like to set some facts straight, regarding an article titled From Sailor to Porter (July 30).

The sentence that reads: “…said Abdullah Ramping, chief engineer of the ship SV Eka Supply…” should have read: “ …of the ship MV Eka Supply…”

In the same article it was written: “the Standards of Training Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCF).” The correct acronym is STCW
