Explaining Mega’s Defeat
Reading your article titled Why Mega Stayed Away (Tempo, Nov. 1, 2004), I cannot help but get the impression that the writers are desperately looking for arguments to justify Megawati’s refusal to attend the inauguration of President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono, and to cover up Megawati’s inability to accept her election defeat with grace and dignity.
