Being art lovers, Antonio Casanova and his wife, Ana Gaspar, was understandably awed by the works of I Gusti Nyuman Lempad at the Neka Museum in Ubud, Bali. "We regard the work of Lempad like the art of maestro Pablo Picasso or Michaelangelo," said Casanova.

The incident which happened seven years ago, motivated them to seek information on the life of Lempad and his other works. They discovered that available information on Lempad's works was quite minimal, and even they were available, it came in fragments.
