Clean Sweep of the Moronenes
The wails of crying women filled the air at the Rawa Aopa Watumohai National Park on Sunday afternoon two weeks ago. "Please let us remain here until after Ramadan (holy fasting month). Let us continue with our fasting," pleaded members of the Moronene tribe living in Hukaea Laeya, a village in the regency of Buton, Southeast Sulawesi.
