THAT morning the sea was a little rough. The president and his group were at sea near the Thousand Islands in Jakarta Bay. The president had invited his guest, Chancellor Helmut Kohl, to go fishing. However, the fish around Edam Island did not appear to care for the German state-guest’s bait. I was on another boat watching and guarding the presidential group. I made a little joke: “I hope the underwater team haven’t grabbed the fish.”
