Setiadi Sopandi studied the thousands of documents in Friedrich Silaban's archive for 10 years. He visited the late architect's home on Jalan Arsitek F. Silaban- a street named after him- in Bogor, West Java, on a regular basis to scrutinize each of the documents individually, from Silaban's sketches and building designs to his collection of photographs and correspondence.
