IN post-tsunami Aceh, all has been lost, except for the land. In general, the disaster victims have nothing left except the plot of land where they used to live. However, it is not an easy matter to retain ownership of land after the disaster. Land boundaries have disappeared. Most of the documents of ownership were lost or destroyed. Relying on memory and guesswork is very much prone to error.
