In the last three years 23 churches in West Java have been shut down. Fearful of Christianization, residents approval was used as justification.

THE Dayeuhkolot District Office in Bandung regency last Monday was guarded by dozens of police. Residents swarmed the district office front veranda and were in tense confrontation with the Dayeuhkolot Pasundan Christian Church clergy. Also present was Agus Zakia, Dayeuhkolot district head and some of his staff.

That day, the Dayeuhkolot community discussed the closure of the Pasundan Christian Church in Sukabirus hamlet, one of the villages there.
