Accused terrorist Abdullah Sonata has been asked to identify the three suspected Bali II bombers. Links between his group and JI have yet to be established.

ABDULLAH Sonata should have been celebrating at the end of July. At that point, his beloved wife was to give birth to their child at the Harapan Kita Hospital, Jakarta. Sonata had been waiting. But, at the same time, police approached him and took him into custody. Instead of holding his newborn baby, Sonata was arrested and detained at the Jakarta Regional Police.
