HENDRO Sangkoyo, 51, felt that something was wrong when leaving for Yogyakarta that morning. In the taxi on his way to Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Cengkareng, this youngest brother of the late culturalist Umar Kayam, realized he was not bringing even a single penny to his name. “I had to borrow Rp150,000 from the taxi driver” he said. “My wife at home repaid the loan.”
