Like cats and dogs, they tease and claw each other. Once in a while, there is bloody wrestling. Such are the relations between President Abdurrahman Wahid and the House of Representatives (DPR) lately this year. A good number of people who were formerly used to Suharto’s kingdom-like "order" are concerned about the rows between the two institutions. But, in a common democratic context, such animosity is just a form of positive mutual control.
