The Karmel Valley, an area of green hills in Babakan Hilir, Cikanyere village, Cianjur regency, West Java, was once again silent on Friday last week. There was only the buzzing of prayers of a small number of the faithful in St Paulus Hall. The name of the valley was taken from a place in Kirmil, West Arabia—in the Arabic dictionary of geography, Yaqut is mentioned as a ridge of coastal hills south of Asir, bordering Yemen.
