IT was a long night for Honiun Hamid last Tuesday. The 50-year-old man, along with several other squatters under the highway in Warakas, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, stayed up all night ready to receive the arrival of the Public Order Police Unit assigned to demolish their living quarters. All 58 families who have made the vacant space under the Tanjung Priok toll road their home, in fact, have no official occupancy permit.
