THE call for the banning of Ahmadiyah continues. On Thursday last week about 300 members of the Islamic Jihad Command gathered at the Istiqlal Mosque in Central Jakarta calling for the banning of the religious sect by presidential decree. The group insisted that a joint ministerial decree wasn’t enough, saying it lacked legal force. “The ball is in the hands of the President,” said Command Coordinator Munarman.
