Ahmad Taufik hasn’tt changed a bit. The extensive news coverage he has received hasn’t affected his demeanor one bit. The 15-year-old junior high school student at SMP Negeri Lemahabang in Bekasi is still a humble student. However, he appeared totally worn out when TEMPO met him last Friday.

Keep in mind that for a week, Opik, as he is fondly called, has had to attend a number of ceremonies to receive awards from several government instances. The awards bestowed upon him from the local up to ministerial level, consist of trophies, scholarships and money. His friends say it it is all on account of his fondness for helping others.
