Vice Chairman of the Buloggate-Bruneigate special committee, Alvin Lie (pronounced Lee), now wears a bullet-proof vest under his shirt. A bodyguard accompanies him wherever he goes. As it happens, almost every day his mobile phone rings. The voice of someone involved in the Bulog scandal is heard, although the tone is always benevolant. However, says Alvin, the question asked fills him with trepidation, "Alvin, are you still safe and sound?"
