A Bogus Order from Manila

A hundred assault rifles and 10 pistols made by PT Pindad were confiscated by Philippines customs. The person who placed the order vanished.

AT Tanjung Priok Port, early last August, a ship flying the flag of Panama slowly approached the dock. The ship’s entire hull was painted pitch-black. The words “Captain Ufuk” were written on the side. On the deck, the vessel’s British commander, Captain Bruce Jones, contacted PT Tirta Samudera Caraka, the agent of the freight company which was taking care of its cargo in Jakarta.
