Shari’a Police Protested
ACEH non-governmental organization activists demand that the Shari’a police be dismissed. This law enforcer body which was formed after Islamic laws were enforced in Aceh is viewed as being arbitrary. “They don’t have the right to arrest people,” said Evi Narti Zein, Director of the Human Rights NGO Coalition last Tuesday.
