In a month Emir Moeis’s account received up to six deposits without the physical handover of banknotes. The Corruption Eradication Commission is investigating the case.

THE black and rather thin plastic folder passed from hand to hand around the Tempo magazine meeting room in Jakarta on Tuesday last week. House of Representatives (DPR) member Emir Moeis was in the midst of showing those present evidence of his bank accounts and investments with Bank Century since 2004. “Hopefully after this I won’t keep getting written about any more,” he said.
