No More Overnight Guests

MORE than 250 inns and hotels in Kaliurang and Kaliadem areas are now facing a gloomy future. When Merapi’s status was still one of alert, there were still one or two guests staying overnight. But, since the October 26 eruption, all of the hotels have closed. The tourist area is located within the 20-kilometer danger zone surrounding Mount Merapi.
