The internal audit files of the Finance Ministry in the Gayus Tambunan case have been studied by the Corruption Eradication Commission, pending the investigation stage.

A NUMBER of internal audit files from the Investigation Inspectorate of the Ministry of Finance, are piled up in Kuningan, South Jakarta, the office of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). Received early this year, the files have been scrutinized by commission officials. The result: a recommendation that the case be elevated to the status of investigation. Since last month, the letter has been on the desk of KPK leaders.
